Burkman’s back and there’s gonna be Trouble for the Welterweights



You can be the greatest athlete in the world, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and all that fun stuff, but the one equalizer, the one thing that will bring you down to Earth faster than anything, is injury.

Welterweight up and comer Josh Burkman, who returns to the Octagon Thursday against Chad Reiner, found that out the hard way more than once, first when he entered his April 2006 bout with Jon Fitch with a broken foot and ended up with his first UFC loss via a second round submission. And the funny thing is, ‘The People’s Warrior’ has no regrets regarding his decision.
