DE LA HOYA TO ANNOUNCE TRAINER FOR MAYWEATHER FIGHT TODAY

WBC Super Welterweight Champion Oscar De La Hoya (38-4, 30 KO’s) will officially announce today who will be heading up his corner for his May 5th superfight with current WBC Welterweight kingpin Floyd Mayweather (37-0, 24 KO’s).

De La Hoya’s has decided to part ways with his trainer for his last 8 fights, Floyd Mayweather Sr., citing economics (Mayweather was demanding US$2M), and obvious complications that may arise from a father training against his own son.
