Hatton advised to alter lifestyle

Wayne McCullough has advised his friend Ricky Hatton to change his lifestyle if he wants to prolong his boxing career.

Hatton, 28, reclaimed the IBF light welterweight crown from Colombia's Juan Urango on Saturday but tired alarmingly over the last four rounds.

Belfast's former world champion McCullough, whose Las Vegas gym Hatton used to prepare for the fight, told BBC Sport: "Nobody's saying he can't drink.

"But it's up to him to say 'I'm getting older, maybe it's time to cut down'."

Hatton makes no secret of his love of drink and takeaways and admitted poor diet contributed to an under-par performance against Luis Collazo last May.
