Canadian fighter Patrick Cote needs win, hopes to open UFC 67 with a bang


LAS VEGAS (CP) - Patrick (The Predator) Cote needs a win Saturday night.

The 26-year-old mixed martial arts fighter from Quebec City is 0-4 when it counts in the UFC. Each of those losses has a story, but asterisks don't pay the bills. The bottom line this time is Cote needs to have his arm raised at the end of his middleweight fight at UFC 67: All or Nothing.

"Now it's my time to shine," Cote said in an interview. "It's maybe my last chance to prove I have a place here."

Despite the losses, Cote has usually put on a good showing in the ring. And he has five fights remaining on his UFC contract. But the Darwinian UFC doesn't hesitate to prune its roster or cut its losses.
