Deal guarantees Renzo-Shamrock

There are no more legal hindrances to the bout between Frank Shamrock and Renzo Gracie, scheduled February 10, in Southhaven, Mississipi. According to website Gracie Fighter, Strikeforce has reached a deal with Showtime to broadcast one of their events. Thus Shamrock is freed from the contract that forced him to face Phil Baroni at Strikeforce before taking on Renzo at Elite XC's main bout.

Soon after the announcement of Elite XC's card, doubts arose as to Shamrock's legal situation. Cool as always, Shamrock said at Elite XC's latest press conference that all was right and that he has a good professional relationship with Strikeforce. At the time, he told reporters that he would fight in February and keep his deal with Strikeforce.
