Hobson on Hatton/IBF situation!

Ricky Hatton's promoter Dennis Hobson said a decision regarding the Hitman's status as IBF light welterweight champion would be made this weekend.

Hatton is obligated to fight Lovemore N'dou after the Australian based scrapper beat Ben Rabah in a final eliminator in Sydney on Sunday. However, a Hatton fight with the 35-year-old, 45-8-1 (30KOs), is a hard-sell to both US and UK television, especially with a mouth-watering collision with pound-for-pounder Jose Luis Castillo already on the table for June.

Last week Team Hatton resisted pressure for them to give up the IBF title the Hitman won by out pointing Juan Urango in Las Vegas January 20 and allow N'dou and Rabah to fight for the vacant title.
