Unconfirmed: Joe “Diesel” Riggs to WEC?

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestlingobserver.com, the upper brass at Zuffa has spoken to Joe about a possible move to the UFC’s recent acquisition, WEC. As part of the deal, Riggs would move up to middleweight and possibly fight for the new WEC middleweight championship. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, but it is looking more and more like it will happen.

After Riggs’ most recent loss to Sanchez, I thought this would be the best possible move for Joe and I am happy it is being looked at. It would give his career the jump-start it needs and the WEC would be the perfect platform for him to showcase his skills and get his career back on track.
