Sportscaster Jim Lampley pleaded no contest today to charges that he violated a temporary restraining order taken out by his girlfriend. He was convicted and sentenced to three years probation, 52 weeks of counseling and 40 hours of volunteer service.

“A stressed and unhappy James Clifford Lampley walked into San Diego County Court Wednesday and pled no contest to charges of violating a restraining order,” Kate Flaherty of the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office told The Fight Netywork.

“Mr. Lampley was sentenced to three years summary probation, 40 hours community volunteer work, and 52 weeks of Domestic Violence counseling.”

Lampley was also ordered to abide by the protective order and stay away from the woman for the same amount of time.
