IFL Atlanta: Wolfpack attempts to slay Dragons



When four of the International Fight League's teams descend on Atlanta on Friday night for the league's third event of the season, all eyes will certainly be on Brazilian journeyman Renzo Gracie.

Not only is Gracie a fighter in the news after his controversial disqualification win over fellow IFL coach Frank Shamrock in the premiere of Showtime's Elite XC, but Gracie is also the head of the IFL's Pitbulls, thus far winless. His squad went 0-2 in the inaugural IFL season, surprising many who expected a much tougher group to come out of Gracie's well-respected New York academy.

Despite the poor performance, Gracie remained optimistic about the team's chances in '07. Gracie said that what he learned about the importance of team training by watching other IFL squads would serve his Pitbulls well in the future.
