Reflections on IFL Houston

All too often, I’ve come to realize, hyperbole is a substitute for quality in the fight game. Every match is the bout of the decade. Every show is a can’t-miss blockbuster. Once everything is so overblown and exaggerated, the words don’t mean much anymore.

That’s why I want to make this next point very clearly, so there will be no doubt that I truly believe what I am about to tell you.

Horodecki-Palaszewski was the most exciting fight I’ve seen in years.

Like many of you, I watch every fight I can, whenever possible. We can talk all we want about Hughes-Trigg II, or Griffin-Bonnar I, or Silva-Jackson II.
