SUN and HDNet Team Up to Produce 'Art of War' Series

SUN signs agreement to produce MMA Events on HDNet.

Dallas, TX (PRWeb) February 23, 2007 -- According to Sun Management Group, Inc., founder and CEO, C.J. Comu, his organization has entered into on exclusive Production and Distribution Rights Agreement with Mark Cuban's HDNet LLC, as it pertains to SUN's March 9th, Art of War, Undisputed Arena Fight Championship event at Dallas' American Airlines Center,

Under the agreement, HDNet will record the ten bout, mixed martial arts event and air the program at a later date, on their network. This will mark the first Art of War event to be produced and distributed by HDNet.

In the main event, MMA stars Pedro Rizzo (Brazil) and Justin Eilers (Boise, Idaho) will square off for the newly formed (International Fighters Association) IFA World Heavyweight Championship. Both Rizzo and Eilers are veterans of the UFC and have challenged for that organization's, World Heavyweight Championship.

"We at Sun are extremely excited and appreciative to have an opportunity to work with such a respected network as HDNet," stated Comu. "What this does is ensure the many MMA fans around the country that they will have an opportunity to see Art of War on a first rate network. Other than being at the event Live, there is no better way to watch any event than in high definition and no better place to watch it than HDNet."

"Mixed Martial Arts events are a key part of our Friday night line-up," said Mark Cuban, President and co-founder of HDNet. "We're very excited to bring all the intensity of this event to our viewers in brilliant high def."

And apparently, many are watching mixed martial arts fighting these days. According to feature stories in USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, as well as CBS' 60 Minutes, MMA fighting is the fastest growing sport in America. UFC has emerged as the industry leader, but Comu feels there is definitely room for Art of War.

"It's really just a simple matter of supply and demand. There are just too many MMA fans and fighters out there for one organization to meet the demand. We're working very hard to provide the very best events for the fans at the arena and those watching on HDNet. We feel we have a great start with our March 9th event, in Dallas."
