What is next for PRIDE?

The next PRIDE event will be held April 8 (April 7 in the U.S.) at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. PRIDE 34 will be the first PRIDE in Japan to be available live on pay-per-view in the United States.

PRIDE 34 will be without the Emelianenko brothers, who have signed to compete for BodogFight on April 14.

Then on May 20, sixteen fighters will compete in the 2007 Lightweight Grand Prix. The quarterfinals will take place in July and the finals will take place in September.

Nothing is official yet, but the tournament will probably include the likes of Shinya Aoki, Takanori Gomi, Gilbert Melendez, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Mitsuhiro Ishida.
