What's in a Nickname?

You can’t give yourself a nickname. A nickname has to be organic. It has to come from people who know you, who are in an objective position to assess your character and abilities. Otherwise it’s just narcissistic.

For example, I don’t think it was Alexander’s idea to go with “the Great” as a nickname. Even he couldn’t have been that egotistical. It must have come from someone else, maybe someone in his army who kept saying, “Man, you know that Alexander guy who just conquered half the known world and crushed the Persian empire? He’s pretty great.”

That’s how you arrive at a nickname, people.

Even so, sometimes nicknames in the fight game seem lazy. The Assassin. The Bulldog. The Hitman.
