World’s Strongest Athletes Compete at The Vyotech Iron Man FitExpo



This year TheFitExpo will feature Mixed Martial Arts, one of the fastest growing sports in the world, by bringing together some of its brightest stars and athletes. Attendees can learn from and train with fighters from the UFC, IFL, King of the Cage and the Professional Submission League during more then a dozen seminars and classes offered throughout the weekend.

Iron Man Magazine and National Fitness Productions, co- producers of The Vyotech Nutritionals Iron Man FitExpo, California’s premier fitness event announce their return to the historic Pasadena Center Civic Auditorium, 300 E. Green Street, Friday thru Sunday, Feb.16-18.

Many of the world’s greatest bodybuilders will compete at The 18th Annual IFBB Ironman Pro, which is scheduled for Saturday evening, Feb. 17. This competition is the biggest professional bodybuilding event on the West Coast and the only pro show in Los Angeles, the mecca of the sport.

Other contests include The Gaspari Nutrition Women’s Figure Competition, The MET-Rx All American Strength Challenge (the world’s strongest men vie for $10,000 in cash prizes in a series of contests), The Scot Mendelson Bench Press Classic, The NxLabs Fittest Couple Contest ($2,500 and a national magazine photo layout go to the winners) and the VPX MaxReps contests (offering attendees the chance to win cash in a series of strength competitions).

Throughout the weekend attendees can take part in a full array of seminars covering all aspects of fitness and nutrition and newly added, Mixed Martial Arts. Fitness greats slated to appear include Jay Cutler (the new Mr. Olympia courtesy of Weider Publications) on attaining goals in and out of the gym and Dr. Tom Deters (Former Editor in Chief of Muscle & Fitness) speaking on Diet Strategy and Bodyfat Control. The Eleanor Group will also present a Beauty and Wellness track of programming for female attendees of TheFitExpo.

With well over 12,000 attendees, TheFitExpo, now in its 4th year, has quickly become California’s number one fitness exposition.

TheFitExpo tickets are $13 per day or $25 for all three days and are available in advance through Ticketmaster or at the door. Show hours are Friday, 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday, students with id are admitted free. Discount coupons will be available at selected area Subway Restaurants, GNC Nutrition Shops, and 24 Hour Fitness locations.
