UFC 70 Betting Odds Posted for Big MMA Month in April

April will turn out to be one of the biggest months in Mixed Martial Arts history with two big events (UFC 69 and 70, respectively) slated for the month and BodogFight's much anticipated matchup between Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Lindland scheduled for April 14.

"Fedor Emelianenko vs. Matt Lindland, Clash of the Nations will showcase two #1 ranked fighters squaring off in the biggest match-up in the history of MMA, and in front of the biggest global TV audience ever for the sport," Ayre told Sports911.com.

Bodog.com was yet to post betting odds on their own Pay Per View event as of March 18.

Sportsbook.com has already begun offering betting odds on UFC 69 (April 7) and UFC 70 (April 21).

"The month of April offers quite a lot for MMA fans for sure," commented Sports911.com's own Dan Shapiro, who will be covering both events.

For the MMA bettor, favored Georges St. Pierre and Mirko Cro Cop hardly offer much value with odds of -800 and -600, respectively.

"Unlike boxing and professional wrestling, the odds of a big underdog winning in the MMA are much greater," commented Shapiro. "Upsets in boxing are few and far between, which is one of the reasons why MMA has become so popular."

Both favored fighters opponents would pay $400 and up on a $100 bet if either were to win.
