ZENTSOV ADVANCES TO APRIL 14 BODOGFIGHT

By Stash Capar

Fedor Emelianenko training partner Roman Zentsov (16-10) emerged triumphant with a second round TKO over seasoned Frenchman Kristof Midoux (5-8) at BodogFIGHT “St. Petersburg,” filmed last December and currently airing on The Fight Network in Canada and Ion Television in the U.S.

Now the Russian Red Devil prepares for an American adversary at April 14’s BodogFIGHT “Clash of the Nations” pay-per-view in his homeland. While Zentsov was meant to tangle with American Kickboxing Academy’s Cain Velasquez – who earned his slot by besting fellow American Jeremiah Constant (4-1) with a four-minute TKO – is uncertain if Velasquez (2-0) will make it to the PPV final for yet-to-be disclosed reasons. Early indications are American wrestler Mark Burch (6-2) a veteran of the reality series’ first season, will step in.
