NEW YORK, April 5, 2007- The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI), the world’s first team-based professional mixed martial arts league, will take fans into the ring and behind the scenes this week with Olympic silver medalist Matt Lindland (Portland, Ore.) as he trains his Wolfpack and readies himself for fights against MMA legend Jeremy Horn and fellow IFL coach Carlos Newton. “IFL Battleground,” the new series chronicling the league, is presented every Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT (7:00 p.m. CT/MT), on MyNetworkTV.
Featured athletes in this episode will include:
• Lightweight Ryan Schultz (Gresham, Ore.), a former wrestler at the University of Nebraska who is bouncing back from a December knockout at the hands of Bart Palaszewski.
• Light Heavyweight Matt Horwich (Gresham, Ore.), who has risen from homelessness to use his Christian lifestyle as a basis for success both in and out of the ring.
• Middleweight Mike Dolce (Belmar, N.J.), a former accountant who has now taken up MMA and training as his full-time profession.
Among the nine fights in the program will be two never-before-televised bouts featuring Lindland, the world’s top-ranked middleweight.
