Gladiator's Fighting 39 results from Menasha, Wisconsin

A weeklong blizzard couldn’t stop a raucous crowd from enjoying the Gladiators Fighting series as Waverly Beach played host to Gladiator’s Fighting 39 – The War at Waverly Friday night.
In the main event of the evening, Ben “the Stoneman” Yelle of Marquette, MI scored a knockout of Hector “the Puerto Rican Tornado” Olmeido of Milwaukee when Olmeido could not beat the ten-count after a barrage of body kicks at 1:39 of the first round in a lightweight kickboxing match up.
“Battling” Ben Dauck scored a second round TKO over fellow Milwaukee fighter Donnie Penelton in a battle of middleweights. The loss dropped Penelton’s kickboxing record to 16-3. Penelton has recently embarked on a kickboxing career after a boxing career which spanned 15 years in which he complied a record of 13-164-5 (5ko’s).
In other kickboxing matches Dan Pemble of Marquette scored a first round knockout over Harold “the Hammer” Johnson of Milwaukee in a light heavyweight bout.
Middleweight Barry Forst of Green Bay was awarded a TKO over Appleton’s Ron Duncan after Duncan could not continue after going down awkwardly and injuring his right leg at 0:32 of the first round.
Green Bay’s Dan “the Bulldog of the Bay” Skenandore scored a victory over fellow heavyweight Brian Schaleen of Milwaukee with a rear naked choke at 0:41 of the first round.
Greg Elliot of Marquette scored a first round TKO when he cinched in a guillotine choke on John Kasee of Green Bay in a featherweight match up.
Middleweight Travis Fischer of Appleton defeated Brandon Greenslade of Green Bay when referee Al Wichgers was forced to intervene as a result of an onslaught of punches delivered by Fischer at 2:22 of the first round.
Shane Kruchten of Oshkosh scored a three-round unanimous decision victory over Brian Frerk of Green Bay. All three judges scored the heavyweight bout 29-28.
Terry Kleiman of Green Bay forced Ryan Rea of Kingsford, MI to tap at 2:52 of the first round as a result of a choke in the evening’s only bout of the evening featuring super-heavyweights.
In the opening bout of the evening, middleweight Jesse Willis of Racine used an arm bar to force Tarl Potts of Green Bay to tap out at 0:46 of the opening round.
Gladiator’s Fighting returns to the area as the KI Convention Center in Green Bay plays host to Gladiator’s Fighting 40 – “The Baddest in the Bay” on April 7th.
