MFC stars want to meet their fans

The Maximum Fighting Championship will be out in full force this Saturday, January 27, for an autograph session and meet-and-greet at Aqua Clothing in West Edmonton Mall (main level, near Bourbon Street). The session will run from 1-4 p.m. and feature appearances by new MFC Heavyweight and Edmonton Eskimos star defensive lineman Adam “The Boogeyman” Braidwood and MFC Light Heavyweight champion Victor “The Matrix” Valimaki.

Braidwood, who was the No. 1 pick in the 2006 CFL draft, will be making his MMA fighting debut on Saturday, Feb. 3 at MFC 11 – Gridiron at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. He’ll be joined on that fight card by Eskimos teammate Mike “The Wolverine” Maurer, who will be making his second appearance inside the MFC ring.

Valimaki, who made his debut in the UFC back in November and is slated to return to the UFC in 2007, will defend his MFC title for the first time at Gridiron.

Also on hand will be MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich and the MFC Ring Card Girls. All fans are invited to attend this special autograph session.

Tickets for MFC 11 – Gridiron are currently on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.ca and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at (780) 451-8000 as well as the MFC office at (780) 995-9095.
