Oklahoma Looks To Sanction MMA

The Oklahoma Council for Combat Arts will hold its FIRST Meeting on March 10, 2007 in Guymon, Oklahoma during the afternoon and before the Night of Champions Fight Card at the Pickle Creek Center. All Coachs, Instructors and Black Belts who are involved in Muay Thai, Muay Chao Cherk, MMA, Brazilian JJ, or any other COMBAT Arts are welcome to attend this meeting the Council's principle function is to establish rules and guidelines for all Amateur and Professional Combat Arts in Oklahoma and to also establish a Amateur Division for MMA in Oklahoma.

The Council will be made up of members of the Muay Thai, MMA, Brazilian JJ and Combat Arts with each having a vote regarding the Combat Arts. NO Single Member will hold the position of President the Council will be made up of 7 members and the majority vote will stand.
