Sean Salmon Taken To Hospital

Folks, Sean's family is at the hospital with him right now. It'd be a really good idea to send some prayers his way. We couldn't get any specific news about any possible injuries, but he's going to need some good thoughts headed his way. I'll let you know once I hear anything more. The best thing we can do right now is to stay patient and think positive thoughts.

**UPDATE**
It’s only a couple weeks into January, but it’s hard to imagine that there will be a more brutal knockout finish than the one Salmon endured in his Fight Night main event loss to Rashad Evans. Fortunately, it appears he’ll be OK. UFC President Dana White said at the post-fight news conference that Salmon would be fine, but was being taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons. Evans improved his record to a perfect 10-0 following a right high kick that landed flush on Salmon’s jaw and rendered him unconscious before he hit the mat.

**UPDATE**
Good news, everybody.
We spoke to the family, and Sean is okay. He's been checked over by doctors and will be released tonight.

Thanks for keeping him in your prayers and thinking good thoughts. I'm sure his family and friends appreciate it. We'll talk to Sean as soon as he's up for it and will have a further update here on UFCjunkie.com tomorrow.

Thanks everyone.

**UPDATE**
Hey everyone, I just got back to the hotel and I'm fine. A little banged up and embarrased, but otherwise ok.

Thank you very much for your thought and prayers, it means a lot to me. Maybe now, you can pray that I get a kick defense. hahaha. I will do a blog for UFC Junkie sometime tomorrow covering the whole day of the fight up until right now. I am sorry I'm not getting it done tonight, I am just too tired.

Thank you again for all your support, you guys make dealing with a loss a lot easier.

Sean
