BEAUTIFUL BRAWLER

In most ways, Gina Carano is a typical 24-year-old woman. She wears dresses and make-up, is into movies, music and fashion, loves to travel and remains confounded by the male species. Oh, and she has a mean right hand.

On February 10, Carano, (3-0), will star in the Elite Xtreme Combat premiere, which takes place at the Desoto Civic Center in Southaven, Miss., and promises to be a landmark for the burgeoning American mixed martial arts industry.

Not only will the event air live on Showtime—the first U.S. premium cable network to broadcast a live MMA event—it will also feature what is likely to be the most-watched women’s contest in North American history.
