By Loretta Hunt

BodogFIGHT “St. Petersburg,” the second season of Bodog monarch Calvin Ayres’ reality TV series, kicked off last night on Ion Television. In two featured bouts, lightweight Rodrigo Damm submitted Black Mamba (formerly Kultar Gill) in the second round with a rear-naked choke. In the U.S. bracket, Mike Brown earned a unanimous decision over Yves Edwards in a bout that saw sharp stand-up trades and grueling takedown

Brazilian Damm and Brown advance to April 14’s “Clash of the Nations” pay-per-view event in St. Petersburg, Russia. This event will be headlined by the much-hyped BodogFIGHT bout between heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and top-ranked middleweight Matt Lindland.

A replay of last night’s episode can be found at bodogfight.com, while an encore presentation of BodgFIGHT “USA vs. Russia”” - its debut pay-per-view event from Dec. 2 - will re-air this Sat, Feb. 17. A previously unseen welterweight title bout between champion Eddie Alvarez and Aaron Riley has been added to the telecast.
