With both the UFC and Cage Rage putting events on April 21 (My colleague Stash Capar got his hands on Cage Rage 21’s roster last Friday), second local promotion Cagewarriors has started to promote their April 28 event as well. “Enter the Rough House 2” sees the promotion return to the Harvey Haddon Sports Centre in Nottingham, where last December they sold the venue out with more than 3,000 fans in attendance. Already booked to fight are Dan “the Outlaw” Hardy, Paul “Metabolic” McVeigh, Danny Batten and French up-and-comers Karl “Psycho” Amoussou among others.

“Zuffa and Co.” may do well to stick around for the Cagewarriors show, as the promotion has built a reputation for developing fighters before they progress on to the “big show.” UFC regulars Bisping and Martin Kampmann are both graduates of Cagewarriors “School of Hard Knocks” and it is more than likely Paul Daley, who is also a Cagewarriors veteran, will be signing with the UFC promotion before the year’s end.
