UFC UK MAKES IT OFFICIAL

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has finally confirmed it will be returning to the UK after a five-year absence with the first of four anticipated shows this year. The UFC UK's 2007 debut will kick-off at the Manchester MEN Arena on April 21, while additionsl venues in Ireland and beyond are bring surveyed for future dates.

Fighters already confirmed for the April 21 UFC 70 event include Jess Liaudin, who is fighting Denis Siver; Paul Taylor; and Dave Lee as well as established UFC stars Mirko “Cro Cop” Filopovic, who is fighting Gabriel Gonzaga, and Mike “the Count” Bisping.

A number of UFC stars are expected in the country to conduct a weekend seminar in Liverpool as well. Dean Lister, Quentin “Rampage” Jackson, Tito Ortiz, Bisping (and not current UFC fighter Paul Daley) are due to give instruction to aspiring stars on Saturday and Sunday at the Liverpool Olympia.
