ICON Sports - Trigg vs. Lawler on March 31st in Hawaii

There is no rest for the weary as Robbie Lawler and Frank Trigg will prove that when they meet on Saturday night, March 31st, 2007 at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii for Trigg’s Icon Sport Middleweight Title. Lawler, who just fought for the IFL on February 23, 2007, defeating Eduardo Pampona, will try to retain the title he once had, while Trigg, who just defeated Kazuo Misaki in Pride a day later will defend hit title for the first time.



This card will also feature one of Hawaii’s most popular fighter, Jason “Mayhem” Miller’s return to the ring after losing his title to Trigg in December of 2006. Also returning to Icon Sport on this card is Renato “Charuto” Verissimo. After defeating Chris Fleurestil by TKO in his Icon Sport debut in February of 2007, Verissimo will try to make it two in a row and come closer to a shot for the middleweight title. It is being rumored that Miller or Verissimo will fight the winner of Trigg/Lawler if there are successful in their next bout. Here is how Icon’s Sport March 31st card is shaping up.
