Renzo Gracie Invitational succeeds

A day of Jiu-Jitsu celebration

The came from over 15 Renzo Gracie affiliated academys around the USA. They were all there to pay tribute to the sport they love and the master that taught them. That was the spirit of the first Renzo Gracie Invitational BJJ tournament. The event held last January 21st, in Clifton, New Jersey, was a huge success.

Great names of Jiu-Jitsu were there such as Igor Gracie, Rolles Gracie Jr, Gregor Gracie, Rafael Gordinho and many more. Master Renzo took the opportunity to pay a tribute to three of his pupils: black-belts John Danaher, Matt Serra and Ricardo Almeida. The trio received commemorative plates for their contribution to Jiu-jitsu.
