'UFC Wired' pins 9 Fox stations

Trifecta Entertainment & Media has sold its weekly series "UFC Wired" to nine Fox-owned stations, including those in the top two markets of Los Angeles and New York, for a fall launch in syndication.

The show has been cleared on nine MyNetworkTV affiliates owned by Fox, including WWOR New York and KCOP Los Angeles. The other stations are KDFI Dallas/Ft. Worth, WDCA Washington, KTXH Houston, KUTP Phoenix, WFTC Minneapolis/St. Paul, WRBW Orlando/Daytona Beach and WUTB Baltimore.

"UFC Wired" is the first syndicated series from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, whose competitors use a mixture of martial arts disciplines in an event that takes place on an eight-sided mat and a cage design called the Octagon. The show, hosted by Joe Rogan, will feature the organization's top athletes and battles.

"The powerful Fox station group is the perfect partner for Trifecta in launching 'UFC Wired,' " Trifecta partner and CEO Hank Cohen said. "Their vast reach gives us a solid platform to better meet our goal of bringing exciting UFC action to a whole new audience to enjoy."
