WEC announces card for second Las Vegas event



The WEC has released the full card for its March 24th card at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Three title bouts will be on the line.

Urijah Faber (17-1) will make his second WEC Featherweight title defense when he faces the undefeated Dominick Cruz (9-0). Faber retained his title at WEC 25 by forcing Joe Pearson to tap out due to strikes.

Eddie Wineland (11-4-1) will defend his WEC Bantamweight title against fellow Midwestern fighter Chase Beebe (9-1). Wineland captured the title at WEC 20 by knocking out Antonio Banuelos.

Carlos Condit (19-4) will battle John Alessio (18-9) for the vacant WEC Welterweight title. Condit and Alessio earned their title shots at the last WEC by defeating Kyle Jensen and Brian Gassaway, respectively.
