Five Ounces Of Pain: Mir's Shoulder Injury

When it was announced that Frank Mir was off the UFC Fight Night 9 card it led to a lot of speculation considering all the Mir has been through the past couple of years. But the official reason why Mir is no longer scheduled to fight Antoni Hardonk is because of a shoulder injury.
This is yet another in the long line of setbacks that have derailed Mir's once stellar career. A lot of newer fans might not realize how big of a star Mir once was. He was the UFC's heavyweight poster boy one time. If you had asked Dana White three years ago who he considered the future of the UFC, Mir would have likely been one of the fighters he named.
