A new age of super powers?

As people prepared for Pride's official announcement at today's press conference, rumors have been filtering out about a second MMA alliance. Following Pro-Elite's recent partnership with K-1 Hero's, it is believed that representatives of Cage Rage and BodogFight are in Los Angeles for a meeting with the EliteXC parent company to negotiate similar partnerships.

The deals, if true, would most likely involve broadcast of the events in question on the Showtime Network, a move that would significantly increase each show's exposure to the public and therefore their possibilities for advertising and sponsorship. The Alliance, which would add these two organizations to the existing partnerships between Elite XC, Strike Force and K-1 Hero's could represent real competition for Zuffa's WEC-UFC-Pride partnership which was confirmed earlier today at a press conference in Japan.
