Riggs Pulls Out of WEC Fight

MMAWeekly.com is reporting UFC veteran Joe “Diesel” Riggs has been forced with withdraw from his fight tonight at WEC 26: Las Vegas due to a back injury.

According to Scott Lewis of Pavia, Ciscone, & Associates – Riggs’ management company – Riggs has had a bulging disc in his lower back for quite some time, but thus far has been able to fight through it. He was hitting the mitts last night to stay loose, when his back started to act up and he felt numbness in his leg. Upon advice of an orthopedic specialist, Riggs withdrew from the fight.
