LIVE FROM THE HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO IN LAS VEGAS

Las Vegas, NV " Finally, what the fight fans have been demanding is going to happen. The World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC™) Lightweight Title is on the line when current champion “Razor” Rob McCullough defends his title against hard-hitting Rich “Cleat” Crunkilton.

Tickets for WEC McCullough vs. Crunkilton will go on sale Saturday, March 24.

“I’m pleased to announce to fans all around the world that WEC Champion Rob McCullough, one of the strongest and most experienced lightweight fighters in the world, and number one contender Rich Crunkilton, one of the most athletic and well-rounded fighters in the WEC, will be the main event for the WEC May 12 card,” said Scott Adams, WEC Co-General Manager.

McCullough (14-3-0), fighting out of Huntington Beach, Calif., is considered one of the most dangerous strikers in MMA. His vicious attacks have catapulted him to the top of the food chain, with punishing knockouts an indelible trademark finish. His last outing was an impressive win over Kit Cope via elbows to the body. Cope was unable to take the punishment, tapping out at 2:53 of the first round. McCullough is looking to show the world why he is the world’s top 155-pounder when he takes on Crunkilton.

“Rich is no match for me,” said a confident McCullough. “I’m looking to end the fight quick, and that means a KO. Nobody’s going to take my belt”

Crunkilton (14-1-0) is a hard-nosed veteran at the top of his game, coming off a big win against Mike Joy at the Jan. 20 WEC, winning at 4:23 of the third round by submission. His impressive victory made clear that he’s the logical challenger to battle McCullough for the belt.

“I’m looking to take the fight to Rob. I respect his striking, but nothing is getting in the way of me going home with the WEC title,” Crunkilton said.

Tickets for WEC are on sale now, and are priced at $250, $150, $75, $25 (not including applicable services or taxes).
