HANSEN RE-SIGNS WITH PRIDE, FACES IRELAND AT FEB. 24 U.S. PRIDE

Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen has re-signed with PRIDE, confirmed the Norwegian MMA giant earlier today. Hansen, 14-4-1, who was last defeated by Japanese submission master Shinya Aoki at PRIDE SHOCKWAVE on New Year’s Eve, is looking forward to making a comeback in the organization he calls his home.

“We got much better terms this time,” said the Norwegian lightweight in an interview with The Fight Network earlier today. “We signed a one-year, five fight deal. The money has gotten better too.”

It appears that PRIDE plans on keeping the Scandinavian fighter busy; they have already chosen his first opponent: King of the Cage veteran Jason Ireland (16-6-1). Surprisingly, the fight will take place in America, on PRIDE 33 “The Second Coming” in Las Vegas on Feb. 24.
