MFC Unplugged in April



Coming off the overwhelming success and media attention garnered by MFC 11 – Gridiron, the Maximum Fighting Championship is excited to announce its next show and a new athlete scheduled to compete. The MFC’s popular series Unplugged will return for its third show, Hits Back which will be held Friday, April 20 in the ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe in Edmonton.

The Unplugged series showcases young rising stars in mixed martial arts and at Hits Back one of the featured fighters who will be making his professional debut is Edmonton Police Service officer Ryan Lawley.

Lawley was a professional personal trainer and boxing instructor at Panther Gym in Edmonton before joining the EPS. He has been training in mixed martial arts for the past few years and is ready for his first opportunity in the MFC.

“I’ve wanted to fight for some time now to prove to myself that I can do it and to prove to everyone who has knocked mixed martial arts that it is a true sport and that the sport and the fighters deserve proper recognition,” said Lawley.
