Paul Daley Update from the Cage Rage 20 Weigh In

Paul Daley was in attendance and he gave me the opportunity to get the lowdown on his contract status. He is a free agent after his commitment to Cage Rage 21 / Judgment Day. So he will definitely NOT be fighting on the UK UFC 70 card.

In fact, he hasn’t actually signed with the UFC yet; Daley has three lucrative contract offers on the table, each with their own merits and he is assessing his future plans at the moment. The tabled offers are from the UFC, Cage Rage and Elite XC. The UFC deal is exclusive to them meaning he has to relinquish his Cage Rage and FX3 belts. But the Elite XC contract allows him to fight in other organizations, providing it is outside of a 30-day lockout period surrounding an event – this option really appeals to him, but he has stressed no contacts have been signed!

Paul Daley will be fighting Wolfslair fighter Paul Kelly who steps into the breach in place of Phil Norman who broke his arm in preparations for his Bodog debut (obviously this isn’t happening now).
